Senior IAS Sri Lakshmi set Up A park with Rs 2.18 crore In Her Father’s Name

Senior IAS officer Y Sri Lakshmi, who is notorious for her proximity with former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and involvement in large scale corrupt and irregular practices, has set up a park in her father’s name spending Rs 2.18 crore of government money. Moreover, she only inaugurated the park in January this year, reaching the peak of her misuse of power.

It may be recalled that she was accused in a CBI case, in which Jaganmohan Reddy was A 1 and was also in jail for some time. Though during bifurcation of the state, she was posted in Telangana, after formation of YCP government in the state, she got her cader shifted to AP by approaching the court.

Her father  is not a freedom fighter and or a great social worker who has done social service work. Only a retired railway engineer.   retired. In Machilipatnam in January this year a memorial park was started in his name Y. Nageswara Rao and installed his statue in it.

At that time she was a  Special Chief Secretary in the State Municipal and Urban Development Department. She inaugurated the beautiful park built at a cost of Rs 2.18 crore, on January 24. While Rs 2 crore was spent from the funds of the State Green and Beautification Corporation, another Rs. 18 lakhs were spent for the establishment of the park.

Nageswara Rao’s statue was installed inside the park on a warlike basis. Parks have been constructed under the Amrit scheme in many towns under the auspices of the State Green and Beautification Organization under the Municipal and Urban Development Department.

Central and state governments are jointly developing parks and ponds as part of the Amrit scheme. The parks are especially named after famous people of that area. Locals say that Nageswara Rao, who named the park in Machilipatnam, worked as an engineer in the railways in different areas, but he did not do anything to provide better services to the people in terms of railways in Machilipatnam.
