TDP Concerned over opposition Leaders At Jagan’s Delhi Dharna!

Though TDP leaders are attempting to ignore YCP chief and former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s day-long dharna at the national capital Delhi on Wednesday, alleging failure of law and order in the Andhra Pradesh and demanding President’s rule in the state, the presence of several opposition leaders causing worry.

TDP leaders are happy that Jagan failed to attract nation-wide interest through this dharna sending a message that Chandrababu Naidu’s administration started with `politics of violence’ and resorting to victimization attitude towards political opponents.

But it has provided an opportunity to non-Congress opposition parties to come closer to YS Jaganmohan Reddy after TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu emerged as a key supporter of Modi-led NDA government at the Center.

Jagan’s dharna was attended by leaders of various national parties and members of the Lok Sabha. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) leader Sanjay Raut, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Trinamool Congress leader Nadeemul Haq, Aam Aadmi Party, AIADMK and Indian Muslim League leaders participated in it.

They extended their solidarity with Jaganmohan Reddy, who in return thanked them. Jagan expressed hope that these parties will support him  at the national level against the `heinous attacks, murders and rapes’ happening in AP.

However, the absence of any representative from the main opposition party Congress is conspicuous. As Jagan’s sister YS Sharmila is heading the party in the state and both brother and sister are not on good terms, the Congress party is said to be kept away from this dharna.

Moreover, trust deficit is also haunting Jagan. Though he held a dharna at the national capital against the `NDA government’ in the state, his criticism was confined to TDP and Jana Sena only. He was silent against BJP. Not a word was uttered against BJP leaders. This makes Congress leadership believe that he is still in collusion with BJP top leaders.

Meanwhile, it is being discussed that Jagan’s dharna in Delhi was a conspiracy to give a message to the industrialists so as to create hurdles for Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts attracting investors to the state, who were terrified during Jagan’s regime.

In this background, Chandrababu Naidu’s Delhi visit on Friday to attend the NITI Aayog meeting on Saturday, gained significance. He is reportedly making efforts to dispel Jagan’s mischievous propaganda on his government.
