25 Key Actions for Elevating The Pilgrim Experience At Tirumala

Soon after his oath taking Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visiting Tirumala hills said that his cleaning of governance will start from here only. Accordingly, the government has initiated efforts to improve the pilgrim-friendly environment. These are main changes brought out during last six weeks making it more seamless, efficient, and spiritually fulfilling experience for all devotees

1. Establish Pilgrim Facilitation Centers (PFCs) at strategic locations within and around the temple complex for comprehensive assistance.

2. Equip PFCs with multilingual staff* to aid with accommodation, darshan, and Laddu distribution.

3. Implement a centralized booking and inquiry system* at PFCs for streamlined services.

4. Develop an integrated online and mobile darshan booking system allowing advance reservations and real-time updates.

6. Establish dedicated queues  for elderly, differently-abled, and time-constrained pilgrims, and offer a “Fast-Track Darshan” option.

7. Enhance the online booking system for TTD accommodations with real-time updates and digital payment options.

8. Partnership with local hotels and home-stays for expanded accommodation choices and ensure adherence to quality standards.

9. Enhance shuttle services and install well-marked signage for better navigation within the temple complex.

10. Introduce facial recognition technology for secure authentication and integrate it with TTD’s digital platforms.

11. Develop a comprehensive mobile app with features for real-time updates, digital payments, and contactless services.

12. Implement digital payment methods and contactless services across all points of sale within the temple complex.

13. Provide additional seating and resting areas around the temple complex for waiting pilgrims.

14. Introducing a system for pre-ordering Laddus and prasads for pickup through the mobile app.

15. Set up a 24/7 helpline and establish dedicated counters for special services and ticket distribution at PFCs.

16. Enhance the quality of Annaprasadam through regular feedback mechanisms and quality checks.

17. Develop an integrated ticketing system for darshan, accommodations, and special events.

18. Offering guided tours and virtual assistance through the mobile app for first-time visitors and general information.

19. Enhance security infrastructure with CCTV and emergency response systems throughout the temple complex.

20. Creation of a digital repository of historical and religious information about Tirumala and provide an interactive notice board.

21. Implement a system for managing and addressing service-related complaints promptly* and introduce feedback mechanisms.

22. Promoting eco-friendly practices and establishing dedicated spaces for relaxation and meditation within the temple complex.

23. Developing a real-time crisis management plan to address unexpected challenges and emergencies effectively.

24. Introduce special packages for large groups and tour operators to streamline their visits and enhance coordination.
