Tadipatri Municipal Chairman JC Prabhakar Reddy stating that anarchies of the last five years of the YCP government cannot be forgotten, expressed fear that his life and life of TDP leaders in Tadipatri will be in danger if former YCP MLA Ketireddy Peddareddy allowed to the town.
He appealed to the Chandrababu Naidu Govt to expel former YCP MLAKetireddy Peddareddy, his sons Sai Pratap Reddy and Harshavardhan Reddy from the district so that the people of Tadipatri can live in peace. He reminded that Ketireddy, who contested against their family in the 2019 assembly elections, became an MLA, has been threatening his family since then in every meeting.
Prabhakar Reddy alleged that Ketireddy Peddareddy gave open warnings to their family saying that whether he is an MLA or not, he will not leave factional politics and will not leave anyone. Beyond threatening during the last five years, he recalled that the former MLA had openly declared he would not leave factional politics at all.
TDP leader JC Prabhakar Reddy said that everyone knows that Ketireddy Peddareddy is a tough person and alleged that recently the YCP leaders have threatened to cut down the mango trees belonging to the TDP activists in Peddavadugur.
He also asked concerned officials to take action against the officials who filed false cases against their buses (Diwakar Travels) during the YCP regime. Otherwise, he warned that he will stage a dharna in front of Anantapur One Town Police Station.
Meanwhile, former MLA Ketireddy Peddareddy was arrested on the directions from the Election Commission, due to poll-related violence. After obtaining conditional bail from the High Court, he reached Tadipatri on Saturday to submit bond papers at the police station. This has created a tense situation in the town as he returned after two months.
The police were alerted as soon as Peddareddy arrived at Tadipatri. As soon as he submitted his sureties in the Police Station, he was taken to Anantapur without being kept in Tadipatri for long. As a result, Peddareddy left the way he came without causing any disturbance, and the police breathed a sigh of relief.
