Shots were fired at Donald Trump, leaving blood visible on his face.

Gunfire erupted at a Donald Trump rally on Saturday, causing panic in the crowd and splattering the Republican presidential candidate with blood. Trump, however, emerged defiantly, pumping his fist in the air before being ushered to a waiting car. The incident occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh. Trump grimaced and grabbed his ear before security hustled him away, knocking off his red “Make America Great Again” hat. The Secret Service and the former president’s campaign confirmed that Trump was safe following the shooting.

According to a Washington Post reporter citing the Butler County district attorney, the suspected shooter and an audience member were dead, while another person was in critical condition. The shooter’s identity and motive were not immediately clear. Leading Republicans and Democrats swiftly condemned the violence.
