After a good hold on second day with more than 100 Crores gross, the Nag Ashwin directional went on an overdrive on Saturday and pulled in another 117 Crores to go past the 400 Crores. The total gross now stands at 415 Crores. The bookings for Sunday look pretty solid in all online portals and trade circles are expecting another sensational day at the box office. The film is likely to touch the prestigious 500 Crore gross after the end of Sunday.
Despite securing positive reviews and unanimous reviews, the collections in Telugu States are slightly underwhelming due to various factors like genre and futuristic set-up. The film grossed around 130 Crores in Andhra and Telangana till now. In North India, Kalki is unstoppable as it targeted the 100 Crore club by the end of Sunday. In three days, the film collected 72 crore net with a stupendous run.
In Kerala, Kalki is having a dream run with more than 8 Crores gross in three days. In North America, the science fiction thriller is having a fantastic run with close to $10 million gross as of this writing. In other foreign territories like Australia and UK, the film is having a good run.
Made on a staggering budget, Kalki 2898AD story is inspired by key characters in Indian epic Mahabharata and blends dystopian elements to offer a unique cinematic experience to moviegoers. The spectacular visuals and grand production values turned out to be the biggest assets for the film despite having narrative shortcomings.
