While massive arrangments for the historic oath-taking ceremony of Chandra Babu Naidu as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time are underway in Vijayawada, one news that has become a talking point among political circles and Tollywood media is the invitation to Jr. NTR from the Telugu Desam Party to attend the event.
All of a sudden this evening, several media outlets started reporting that invitation has been sent to the RRR actor to attend the event and there is no clarity on whether he will grace it or not. This news came after it was officially announced that several prominent personalities from film industry like Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Superstar Rajinikanth, Allu Arjun have been invited for the swearing-in of Naidu.
Immediately after the unconfirmed news broke out, NTR fans started speculating that he will not attend the event due to his busy shooting schedule in Goa for his upcoming film Devara. While the uncertainty over his attendance continues, another shocking news started doing rounds all over.
As per close sources to NTR, the new government hasn’t sent any invitation to him for the mega event. The news about his invitation has categorically been condemned by his PR team. They revealed that NTR is currently busy shooting near Goa and he hasn’t received any such invitation from any party so far.
As the suspense over NTR’s invitation continues, there is no official confirmation from any of the party sources. It would be quite surprising if NTR doesn’t receive an invitation from his grand father’s party which had already called several notable persons from Tollywood to attend the event.
Recently, after the stunning electoral victory of NDA alliance, NTR congratulated Chandra Babu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan through his X handle. Naidu acknowledged NTR’s wishes and thanked him.
It is an open fact that NTR has been keeping distance from the Telugu Desam Party due to his differences with his uncle Nandamuri Balakrishna. Though he has no direct rift with Chandra Babu Naidu, NTR has not shown any interest towards political activities. He didn’t even react when Naidu was arrested by Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government in October last year. His cold attitude has irked the TDP cadre and made them disown him.
It remains to be seen if NTR gets an invite officially from the party sources or not.
