Pawan As Deputy CM, 4 For Janasena, 2 For BJP In Cabinet

After the suspense on the central cabinet ended Monday evening with the announcement of various portfolios, the focus has now shifted onto Andhra Pradesh as Chandra Babu Naidu is all set to take oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the fourth time. All eyes are on who make the cut in Naidu’s cabinet this time.

As both Janasena and BJP are coalition partners in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu will have his task cut out to balance his cabinet by choosing efficient ministers from all three parties ( TDP, Janasena and BJP). He will need to give adequate preference to seniors from his own party, fulfill the demands of Janasena and also respect the BJP by giving his representation in the cabinet. It is going to be a tough challange for Naidu to come up with a perfect combination.

As per reports, Janasena party president and Pithapuram MLA Pawan Kalyan will be the sole Deputy CM in Naidu’s cabinet. He is likely to play a significant role in the policymaking decision of the cabinet. Whether he will be given any ministry besides the Deputy CM post is not yet known. There is a strong talk among political circles that Pawan might also be given charge of Home Minster portfolio.

Besides Pawan Kalyan, Janasena is likely to have 4 ministers in the cabinet. Seniors like Nadendla Manohar, Bolisetti Srinivas, Aravinda Srinivas who have been with Janasena since its launch are likely to be offered ministries. On the other side, BJP leaders Kamineni Srinivas, Aditya Narayana Reddy and Satya Kumar are in the race.

From TDP, prominent leaders like Kinjarapu Atchunnaidu, Ganta Srinivas Rao, Ayyannapatrudu, Yanamala Rama Krishnudu, Nimmala Rama Naidu, Chinarajappa, Gade Ram Mohan, Kollu Ravindra, Nara Lokesh, Dhulipala Narendra, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Paritala Sunitha, Ram Bhupal Reddy, Amaranath Reddy, Madhavi Reddy etc. may find place in the cabinet.

On Tuesday morning, the elected representatives of NDA alliance will choose Chandra Babu Naidu as the Legislative Party Leader unanimously and meet the governor to invite him for the oath taking ceremony on June 12th in Vijayawada. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the event.
