TDP Chief Warns YCP Likely Resort To Violence, But Don’t Lose Temper

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has warned TDP polling agents that YSRCP, which cannot digest the defeat, is ready to resort to violence during counting and he cautioned that TDP agents should not lose temper. He asked them to adhere to the rules only.

Holding a teleconference with counting agents of TDP and its allies parties on Monday evening, he expressed confidence that the people’s five years of hardship will be put to rest in a few hours. He congratulated everyone who worked hard in the election.

Agents are advised to be vigilant in counting centers and that if there is any doubt in the counting of votes, immediately complain to the RVO. Chandrababu said that he has already trained how to act as counting agents and the agents should go to the counting centers at the specified time.

Counting of postal ballot votes will be done first, followed by counting of EVM votes and no agent should come out until all rounds are completed, he added. He suggested that every agent should check the seal according to the control unit number.

Chandrababu said that everyone should keep the 17-C form with them and correct the votes cast in the counting. He said that the agents who went to the counting of postal ballot votes can raise objections to the ROs and they should take acknowledgement against all complaints.

He suggested that we can complain to the authorities while following the rules on our objections. The declaration form should be taken without error. He said that if any agent is unable to come due to illness, according to the rules, there is an option to hire someone else before the counting. He said that no one should compromise in ensuring that the rules are implemented. Chandrababu cautioned that agents should remember that every vote is important and participate in the counting process.
