Chandrababu Assures Never Injustice During NDA Regime

TDP supremo and former chief minister N Chadnrababu Naidu assured Muslim community that no injustice was done during the NDA regime in the state. Refuting fears of being created by YCP among Muslims after his alliance with BJP, Naidu asked who supported the CAA and NRC Act.

Participating in a face-to-face programme with Muslim in Nellore on Sunday, he asserted that as long as he is alive he will not allow any injustice to Muslims in the state.

He strongly refuted the YCP campaign that the TDP government will cancel 4 percent reservation for Muslims and also their mosques will be demolished. He said that the reservation matter has been pending in the Supreme Court since 2014.

Indicating that even if YCP MPs are elected they will also need to support a BJP government at the center, he dare to answer them if the YCP MP is elected from here, which party he will support in New Delhi? He lamented that CM Jaganmohan Reddy is able to press buttons for people presently only due to his previous five- year regime that generated assets and revenues to the government.

Chandrababu asked Muslims to introspect themselves. Who has done justice to them? Whether it was during the TDP regime or YCP regime, were they happy? He recalled that it was his government that set up Urdu University in Kurnool.

He also said that his government had built Haz Houses in Kadapa and Vijayawada and a Shadi House with Rs 8 crore. He said that they had built modern houses for 20,000 Muslims. It was the TDP government that made Urdu a second language.

He said that they should realise that it was only the TDP government that showed a special interest for their welfare and development and took up several programmes. He accused Jagan of giving 10 rupees, robbing 100 rupees, increased electricity charges several times and introduced adulterated liquor that sucks the blood of the poor.

Chandrababu reminded that the `bread festival’ (rottela panduga) has been made as a state level festival. He expressed concern that there has been an increase of attacks on Muslims in the state and 50 Muslims have been attacked during the last five years.
