Amaravati Models Vandalized

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who had never hesitated to hide his hatredness to develop Amaravati as capital city of Andhra Pradesh, from the very beginning of his assuming power started to dilute the very spirit of the capital city. At the fag end of his term in office, now surprisingly Amaravati models were vandalized by unidentified persons in the area where the foundation stone of the capital was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The grand plan of capital construction, the model gallery of Amaravati city at the foundation stone laying site of the capital was also destroyed by miscreants without any trace. They drank alcohol and threw bottles in the premises. A board with the name Amaravati was also broken.

The farmers of the capital came to know about this when the Guntur Lok Sabha TDP candidate Pemmasani Chandrasekhar went to Uddandarayunipalem on Wednesday to inspect the stalled constructions in the capital. The foundation stone of the capital was laid here on 22 October 2015 by the hands of Prime Minister Modi.

The previous government had set up 3D models here to show how Amaravati was going to be built as a world-class city. People visit this museum to get an idea of what the city will look like in the future.

According to the capital master plan, a model showing the future face of Amaravati as a blue and green city, models, boards, maps and flexi showing the capital roads, LPS layouts, history of Amaravati region, historical structures, advanced capital buildings, assembly and secretariat buildings have been set up.

The government at that time formed a staff for its management and security. But after the change of government, the gallery was closed. With the removal of security personnel and the lack of attention from CRDA, the wildfires have grown. The miscreants broke the lock of the building and destroyed the objects and 3D models in the museum.

The glasses were broken with stones. The gates at the entrance to the premises were knocked down. They destroyed everything they found, including chairs and tables. Amaravati has been stripped of all the landmarks that were set up to tell its history.

The farmers of the capital are expressing outrage that the destruction of Amaravati models is outrageous. Guntur MP candidate Pemmasani Chandrasekhar expressed his anger. He said that while TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu designs for the construction of a world-class capital, CM Jagan enjoys like a monster with the crippled designs.

Amaravati will be crippled and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy will be enjoying like a monster. He urged people that Jagan, who caused this atrocity in the election, to be taught a lesson.

On the other hand, TDP chief Chandrababu expressed his anger over the incident of vandalism of the capital Amaravati Sample Gallery in Uddandarayunipalem. ‘Haven’t you changed.. Have you not changed your mind?’ ‘Wouldn’t you change your naughty ways even before you go home? Destruction, spewing poison, will you stop your vile actions?’ he asked.
