The BJP on Friday dubbed the Congress’ manifesto a “bundle of lies” and alleged that the grand old party which ruled the country for several decades did not not fulfil any of the promises made in its earlier manifestos for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur said that the Congress had only betrayed the country in the last 60 years therefore the people would not be misled by them anymore. He also added that only ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ works in the country today.
“Their entire manifesto is contrary to their current activities. It is not hidden from anyone that from the top leadership of the Congress to grass root workers make indecent comments about women every day.”
“Why doesn’t the Congress, which brought the justice letter, tell that it is the Congress party that has done the most injustice to the country in the last seven decades?,” said Thakur.
Hitting out at the party, the minister said the country had not forgotten the scams, atrocities and emergency imposed by Congress. “Just as the Congress has lost its credibility, similarly their manifesto is also just a bunch of hollow promises,” Thakur added.
Meanwhile, BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the Congress has come with such a poll manifesto to create confusion among the voters. “Congress manifesto is a bundle of lies. It has been prepared to create confusion among the voters,” he added.
Trivedi said the Congress, which ruled the country for several decades, is talking about ‘nyay’ (justice) today, but its governments did not do justice when in power. “The Congress did not fulfil any of its promises made in its earlier manifestos for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections,” he alleged.
