TDP chief and former chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that Telugu Desam Party’s bondage with Madigas is eternal. He said that the Telugu Desam Party is the party which has worked for the upliftment of Madiga people since the beginning.
In view of the prevailing disastrous political scenario in the state of Andhra Pradesh, he urged Madigas to play a key role in the success of TDP in the forthcoming elections. He expressed his desire when Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi founder Manda Krishna Madiga met him in Undavalli, along with other MRPS leaders.
On this occasion, they presented him a petition detailing burning issues faced by their community. Recalling that Chandrababu Naidu was the first leader, who stood behind them in support of SC classification, Krishna Madiga urged his support to find a permanent solution for their problem.
He pleaded that immediately the formation of a new government in the state, after the election, the SC classification issue should be taken on priority. He asked to give due priority to the Madiga community in the formation of various constitutional bodies, besides in all government corporations and nominated positions.
He requested to resume all the schemes canceled by the YCP government for the SCs. Manda Krishna Madiga told Chandrababu on this occasion that they will support the NDA.
Later, Chandrababu Naidu said that the Madiga community has been supporting the party for 40 years. He said that MRPS is fighting harder than the Telugu Desam against anti-people governance of the present state government.
On this occasion, Manda Krishna Madiga held a special discussion with Chandrababu on Madiga issues. After coming to power, he wanted to do justice to the Madiga community. Chandrababu specially appreciated Manda Krishna’s fight against YCP government’s repression against Dalits.
