Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana said that pleasant gardens will be established in the capital Amaravati. He said that we are moving forward towards undertaking tourism projects with blue and green concept to spread joy to those who come to the capital.
Along with Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) CMD Lakshmiparthasarathy Bhaskar he inspected Venkatapalem Nursery and Sakhamuru Central Parks developed by ADC. He said that 4 big parks are being established in the capital during the next six months. A central park is being developed in 300 acres in Sakhamuru.
Amaravati master plan has been prepared with experts from Norman Foster and Partner (London) and Singapore. “We have prepared the blue and green master plan on the orders of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to create a pleasant environment in Amaravati. We entrusted the development responsibilities of these projects to a senior official who has made the city of Hyderabad magnificent with greenery”, he added.
Minister said that they will take up the construction of beautiful reservoirs in Sakhamuru, Ananthavaram and Neerukonda areas and make them tourist hotspots. Steps are being taken to construct a 50-acre reservoir for boating in the Sakhamuru Central Park and set up a tourist center. Moreover, he said that they are making preparations for setting up water lakes in 500 acres in Neerukonda.
Narayana also said that they are setting up buffer zones with a width of 20 and 30 meters along the water projects like Kondaveetivagu and Palavagu Gravity Canal. He explained that a 35-acre park in Anantavaram and a 21-acre Malkapuram park in front of the state secretariat are being set up and different types of medicine plants are being grown in them.
He said that 360 kilometers wide transport systems are being made available under ADC in Amaravati. He said that construction of important infrastructure such as water lines, ICT, electricity, gas, water drains and irrigation systems is being undertaken at a cost of Rs.41,000 crores. During the TDP regime, for the construction of these projects, Rs. 5,100 crores were spent.
