In the city of Tirupati, Arun (Arun Dev), the eldest son of bus conductor Prasad (Viswadev Rachakonda) and Saraswati (Nivetha Thomas), faces persistent challenges with his math lessons. His teacher, Chanakya (Priyadarshi), frequently ridicules him, though the root of the problem lies in Arun’s inquisitive nature, as his logical questions often go unanswered by his educators. Frustrated, Chanakya labels Arun a “Zero,” which ultimately results in Arun being demoted to a lower grade. How it impacts him and the role played Sarada (Gautami), Principal Buchireddy (Bhagyaraj), Kiranmayee (Ananya), and Murty (Krishna Tej) on Arun’s educational journey and personal growth.

Review :

Nivetha Thomas effortlessly took on the role of a housewife, bringing depth to her character as a mother who, despite her own lack of formal education, is deeply invested in her son’s academic success. Viswadev Rachakonda was equally effective as the supportive husband, perfectly complementing Thomas’s performance. The young actors, Arun Dev and Abhay, also did a commendable job in their roles, adding to the film’s overall effectiveness.

Priyadarshi left a notable impact in his role as the math teacher, engaging and amusing the audience with his characteristic humor and expressions. Bhagyaraj and Gautami brought their extensive experience to their roles, delivering strong performances. The rest of the cast also performed well, fulfilling their roles effectively.

Director Nanda kishore Emani, 35-Chinna Katha Kaadu provides an authentic look at how children interact with their parents and teachers and the effects these relationships have on them. Nanda kishore introduces a compelling concept and starts the narrative by presenting the family in a realistic and engaging way.

He emphasized how parents and teachers often dodge questions from children when they themselves don’t have the answers, and how this avoidance can impact the children. He conveyed a valuable message to both parents and teachers about the importance of addressing children’s questions thoughtfully and helping them grasp concepts effectively.

However, the story occasionally falls into predictable patterns and routine elements, with a slow pace that affects the film’s flow. The screenplay and direction are acceptable but lack a certain level of excitement, and the absence of engaging or commercial elements might make it challenging for viewers to stay engaged throughout the entire film.

Vivek Sagar’s soundtrack serves the scenes well, but the songs tend to blend together. The background music complements the storyline effectively. Niketh Bommireddy’s cinematography stands out for its appealing and realistic portrayal. However, some scenes feel overly extended, which affects the film’s overall impact. The dialogues are strong, and the production values are adequate.

Overall, 35-Chinna Katha Kaadu delivers a meaningful message. Director Nanda kishore Emani presents a compelling premise, and with strong performances from Nivetha Thomas and Priyadarshi, effectively conveys its message in a powerful and impactful way. However, a bit more refinement in the script and the inclusion of some entertaining elements could have enhanced the overall narrative.
