Two IPS officers are said to be directly involved in the wrongful confinement and torture of a Bollywood actress by Vijayawada police during Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime. She was allegedly wrongfully detained by Vijayawada police at the instructions of the top YCP leaders in the previous government, tortured her and her family so as to save a prominent Mumbai industrialist from a sexual assault case filed by her.
She claimed that Vijayawada police threatened her stating that they arrested a big leader like Chandrababu Naidu and asked how much more you? She is Kadambari Jethwani! Not just an actress, a doctor too! She and her parents were arrested and shown hell in a false case filed by YCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar.
It was alleged that on the orders of a key YCP leader from Tadepalli palace, the then Vijayawada Police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tatha and DCP Vishal Gunni operated the entire show.
According to reliable information Jethwani’s family members complained that they were arrested by the AP police and brought in a plane to Vijayawada like international smugglers and terrorists, on February 3. They were kept at VTPS guesthouse in Ibrahimpatnam for three days. Tortured severely. Kadambari was remanded on February 6.
The police threatened them that case against her will be withdrawn only if she withdraw sexual assault case she filed against industrialist Sajjan Jindal, who is said to be close to former chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy.
Her mother Asha Jethwani said that they were not aware of how the episode was exposed in Telugu media, but she said she soon will go to Vijayawada to meet the Home Minister and DGP to explain what really happened. She urged AP Police to take action against those YCP leaders and also Police officers for illegally confining them and resorted to torture.
Kadambari spoke on a news channel in Mumbai on Wednesday and said that she met YCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar in 2015 and he proposed to her in the same year. But Knowing his background, Jethwani said that she rejected the proposal. Vidyasagar’s wife left him after 14 months of marriage.
“I found out that he had relations with many girls and kept him away. Since then he has harassed me with nude video calls and obscene messages. In February this year, Vidyasagar filed a robbery case against me at Ibrahimpatnam police station in NTR’s district”.
She said that they were threatening to withdraw her case filed against industrialist Sajjan Jindal in Mumbai as a condition to withdraw the case filed against her in Ibrahimpatnam. But till now, she deplored that the case against her was not withdrawn. She deplored that a case was registered against her brother also, who was doing business in UAE.
