In a surprising turn, TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has chosen most of the fresh faces in his cabinet. Among 24 members in his cabinet as many as 17 are new faces. Most of the senior party leaders were kept out of the cabinet.
The list was announced on Tuesday night, hours before he took oath as Chief Minister. As expected, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will be the Deputy Chief Minister. Along with Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, 22 other ministers are taking oath on Wednesday.
While the list of all 24 ministers including Pawan was released, one position in the cabinet was left vacant. Three MLAs from Jana Sena and one MLA from BJP were included. However, the list became delayed due to BJP’s failure in finalizing their second choice for the cabinet.
The Cabinet included with three women, 8 BCs, two SCs, one ST, one from the Muslim minority and one from the Vaishyus. Kapus and Kammas were given 4 each, while 3 Reddys were accommodated.
Kolusu Parthasarathy and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy are said to be lucky, as they became MLAs and now becoming ministers, as they joined TDP as sitting YCP MLAs, just before elections, as the YCP refused them to re-nominate them for the elections.
