“₹2 Crores for a Film? GV Reddy Exposes Shocking AP Govt Deal!”

During the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government’s time in power in Andhra Pradesh, renowned Tollywood director and producer Ram Gopal Varma became a strong advocate for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Varma openly supported the ruling party and voiced his criticism against opposition leaders like Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh, particularly on social media. In addition to his vocal support, Varma created a film titled Vyuham, which showcased the political strategies and tactics used by YS Jagan to win the elections. Interestingly, the YSRCP government took steps to promote this film during its release.

One of the most controversial incidents surrounding this film was its broadcast on the AP Fiber Net platform. Varma received a substantial payment of ₹2.10 crore for the movie’s airing, despite it attracting only 18 lakh views. According to Fiber Net Chairman GV Reddy, the usual payment for 18 lakh views would typically be around ₹2 lakh, raising serious questions about the excessive payment made in this case.

Additionally, GV Reddy revealed some concerning practices during the YSRCP government’s administration. He pointed out that many individuals, who were not qualified for positions within Fiber Net, were hired via WhatsApp. These workers are now being removed as part of an effort to streamline the organization. Fiber Net, once operating with 10 lakh connections, saw a significant reduction, with 5 lakh connections being disconnected under the previous government. Faced with severe financial difficulties, Fiber Net is now focused on reducing operational costs and raising new funds to stabilize its operations and continue serving the public.
